Production Improvement Projects |
|
Ceramicx has over the years being involved in a number of production improvement projects. The first of these improvement projects with in the mid-90’s with a number of European partners. This was known as Eucopet and is described in more detail below. There was then a period where Ceramicx was involved in a number of commercial projects. A lot of production gains were made during this period but they were made in small increments and were not done under the umbrella of a project.
In recent years Ceramicx has returned to production and cost improvement projects in a serious way. We are just starting with our second innovation partnership with the University of Limerick which is part funded by Enterprise Ireland. This second innovation partnership will see Ceramicx Infrared Heat Consultants working with our University of Limerick partners making significant developments in its Ceramic Element production process, these developments will primarily be focused on the development of more science for what has traditionally being a craft orientated process. The company’s involvement in the manufacturing and energy competence center, ICMR and I2E2 continues with more projects coming on-line in the near future in order to produce the most effective processes possible.
