Quartz Element Installation

The standard Quartz elements are installed as shown in Diagram 1, using two M5 x 30mm screws which extend from the rear of the heater. The pillared Quartz elements are equipped with a special dust pressed pillar allowing them to be installed just like the Ceramic elements (diagram 2). The pillar is pushed through a slot (42mm x 15mm) in the reflector. A stainless steel spring is placed down over the pillar and a clip is slid into position to retain the element. In vertical arrangements the heaters should be mounted with the tubes lying horizontally. In moving systems, the heater tubes should be at right angles to the direction of movement. Recommended Radiation Distance The recommended radiation distance of 100mm to 200mm for Industrial applications should be assumed.
