Ceramicx Innovation Centre

Ceramicx conducts ongoing and continuous research and development programmes in the manufacturing of infrared heating components and systems. Partners, associates and Centres of expertise include UK, German and Irish Universities and other European manufacturers.

Ceramicx infrared heating consultants are also leading initiatives to establish a Research and Development Centre for Infrared Heating.

The new research initiative will aim to cover a number of aspects in infrared heating including reflector design, combined microwave and IR, input power vs output energy, emission and absorption of object materials, and many other topics. A number of training modules will be developed with various modes of delivery in order to promote the benefits of IR heating to a new generation of engineers worldwide.

A number of frontline areas where research is needed have been chosen as the focus for content. They include: Food; Hospital heating; Coatings and Polymer Processing.

These sectors represent the "low hanging fruit - and potential research topics will be crafted with these initial industrial applications in mind.
If the initiative succeeds, the heating worlds will immediately benefit from a number of work packages that can be commercialised straightaway.

Ceramicx is already developing IR heat work that relatesto the initiative. Three Ceramicx projects are already underway. These include:

a) microwave and food heating technology;
b) energy cost per part - which many plastics thermoformers have a great need to be involved in - and
c) Better IR heating reflector design and fabrication

How can I help myself to this research in Infrared Heating?

Simply contact us at Ceramicx for further details about the whole project. Let us know of any details of your own original Infrared heating research that may related to our preliminary review period.  Join us with any related market research in related market research for infrared heating opportunities in our key target areas include - food; plastics; hospital heating; and coatings and more.

We look forward to researching with you!
