Ceramicx Achieves ISO 14001 Certification
15.09.2026
We are proud to announce that Ceramicx Ireland Limited, part of the NIBE Group since July 2023, has achieved ISO 14001 certification for our environmental management system.
Paddy Martin, Ceramicx Managing Director commented that “this is an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, sustainable business practices, and continuous improvement.
Achieving our accreditation represents the hard work that our team has put into developing a structured and effective approach to understanding and managing our environmental impacts. For Ceramicx, ISO 14001 certification means embedding environmental considerations firmly into the way we operate, the way we make decisions and continually improve our processes.”
ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). It provides organisations with a framework for identifying environmental impacts, managing environmental risks and opportunities, meeting legal environmental requirements, and continually improving environmental performance.

Why ISO 14001 Matters
As part of the NIBE Group, Ceramicx is committed to reducing our environmental impact and supporting our customers and the communities in which we operate on the journey towards a low carbon economy.
Our ISO 14001 certification provides a clear framework to help us:
- Identify and manage the environmental impacts associated with our activities
- Strengthen our approach to environmental compliance
- Identify environmental risks and opportunities
- Encourage greater environmental awareness throughout our organisation
ISO 14001 Certification helps provide our customers and stakeholders with confidence that environmental management is an ongoing commitment, not a one-off initiative.

Stanislav Piscako, Quality Manager who managed the process of achieving accreditation
A Team Achievement
The process of accreditation at Ceramicx has been managed by our Quality Manager, Stanislav Piscako, and with the support of the management team put the necessary processes and improvements in place. The involvement of our factory staff was equally important. Our teams have embraced the procedures and responsibilities required as part of our newly created Environmental Management System. By following newly created procedures, managing waste within their individual areas, and paying closer attention to how all of our process produced waste is managed, our employees have played a vital role in making the system work in practice.
Our focus has not simply been on managing waste once it has been produced, but also on reducing waste at source, wherever possible, and encouraging teams to consider how their everyday activities can be conducted more efficiently.
From correctly identifying and labelling products and containers, to monitoring waste collections and looking for opportunities to further reduce waste, our teams have taken greater responsibility for the environmental impact of their individual areas.
