As members of Composites UK Ceramicx is delighted to be spending time next month with the association at its annual conference and automotive showcase, May 10-11.
True, we have only just drawn breath from our three day composites foray at JEC Paris where we learnt an immense amount about the intricacies and fine detail of the industry worldwide.
Next month, however, gives Ceramicx a chance to work off a narrower composites niche; UK-specific and Automotive specific. I am personally very much looking forward to delivering a paper on an alternative to the autoclave to this audience, and also to manning our table top exhibition for the automotive sector on the following day.
There is an increasing focus on growing sectors such as automotive (and others such as construction and energy) here the need for affordable composite solutions is paramount. Opportunities for glass fibre and carbon fibre based composites will be shared and will help companies plan for potential future demand.
The Warwick Manufacturing Group presents no finer setting in this regard for these topics and for Ceramicx. WMG has long standing expertise in the areas of plastics and automotive manufacturing and closely associated with the growing success that is Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and with many other automotive OEMs.
Speakers for May 11 have been confirmed from Ford Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover, Chomarat Textile Industries, Engel. Foseco International, Frimo, Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites GmbH, SHAPE Machining Oxford Advanced Surfaces and WMG.
Come and see us at Warwick in May. Ceramicx will be delighted to share its growing automotive and composites know-how with you.
