Hollow Ceramic Elements

Ceramic Hollow Elements (SFEH, FFEH, HFEH, QFEH) are industry standard ceramic emitters used in a wide range of industrial, commercial and domestic applications. The hollow constructed ceramic element has the advantage of having a shorter heat up time combined with increased energy efficiency. These hollow constructed products consist of a high temperature FeCrAl resistance alloy embedded in a specially formulated light weight hollow cast ceramic body which is subsequently filled with a high density insulating material. The operating temperature is up to a maximum of 750ºC and a maximum power of 800W (FFEH Model Only) This results in a significant reduction in rear heat loss and increased radiant output from the front of the element.

Ceramicx industrial heat consultants are highly committed to the research and development surrounding its component lines which also has the capacity to inform the applications engineering side of its business. We have developed test and evaluation facilities focused on Infrared heating energy that are the first of their kind. These test and evaluation facilities have been developed in conjunction with Trinity College Dublin as part of an Innovation partnership program funded by Enterprise Ireland and Ceramicx. These test and evaluation facilities allow Ceramicx to evaluate the infrared heat energy (watts per centimeters squared) outputted from their heaters. Temperature and Thermocouples have always been a poor method of evaluating the performance of Infrared emitters. Ceramicx can now build on their research facilitating more infrared energy produced at a lower temperatures allowing more energy efficient processing.

This concept can now be demonstrated and proven to customers. For more information on the Innovation Partnership project please visit here. Test data for all the Ceramicx range of elements will be made available in the coming weeks and months.
