Infrared Technology

Infrared radiation (IR) is emitted from all everyday objects, in fact from anything with a temperature above absolute zero. It has many uses in everyday life but here our focus is on its ability to heat objects without direct contact with the heat source. Infrared is electromagnetic radiation, similar in nature to light but in a longer wavelength range. Infrared heating elements are generally classified into 3 categories according to their peak energy or peak emission wavelength.

Ceramicx offers a range of elements (emitters/heaters) and element housings that will cover all infrared heating applications. We deliver a large range of many industry standard elements direct from our extensive stock and can also custom design and build non standard items according to customer specifications. To complement our elements, we also supply a large range of high temperature components and accessories for all types of heating applications.
